Turkey Sliders

Sliders are all the rage right now. Sliders are small but they can have lots of great flavor and are surprisingly filling.

Turkey Sliders
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • dash of garlic powder

Yields about 9 turkey sliders. If you want more you can double the recipe. I find that these are very filling if you use a hearty roll and two is almost always more than enough per person.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.

In a medium bowl combine the parmesan, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper.
Crumble the ground turkey on top and then lightly combine with your hands. Do not over work the meat or your burgers will be tough.
I measured my patties and each were about 2 heaping tablespoons. Place the sliders on the greased baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through.
Remember that turkey meat is light in color and may not look done on the outside, but they very well could be. If you are unsure and it has been more than 10 minutes, check the inside of one of your burgers. You should not see any pink inside.

In a small bowl, combine the mayo and dijon mustard. Add a pinch of garlic powder, salt & pepper.

Serve the sliders on a hearty toasted roll with the dijon sauce and any toppings of your choice.
I decided to use baby spinach, muenster cheese, onions and cherry tomatoes.
